SUEÑOS OF SAN PEDRO SPRINGS PARK
The Sueños of San Pedro Springs Park project reimagined community engagement for one of Texas’ sacred historic parks by transforming public feedback into an interactive, game-based experience. I designed the visual identity and participatory tools for the project – from the board game system to wayfinding, interactive posters, and reporting – to help residents share their dreams for the park’s future in an accessible, joyful, and playful way. These tools transformed community voices into meaningful guidance for long-term park improvements.

product design
Sueños board game, pieces, cards, and instruction booklet
The board game functioned as a branded landscape map of San Pedro Springs Park, designed to mirror the real features and possibilities of the site. Residents used custom game pieces and cards — each representing potential amenities and improvements — to assemble their own “dream park.” This hands-on format made planning tangible, imaginative, and accessible for all ages.

Public activation materials
Wayfinding, games, feedback posters, and social media materials
During the activation day, residents followed a playful “yellow brick road” pathway that guided them through a series of feedback stations shaped like a community roadmap. At each stop, visitors voted on different elements of the park’s future – from preferred shade structures and playscape types to tennis access and cultural features. The experience invited people to move, choose, imagine, and co-design the park through simple, engaging prompts.
